Gold = perfect reflector of infrared light?

Some say gold is a perfect reflector of light, what about just the color gold? gold covered/colored foil or fabrics may have the same properties.

It looks to be that gold color is a reflector of infrared light and heat if you see the last product (gold foil hair cap).
